Our Story
RAINCOAST MEMORIALS was founded by Herb McDowall in 2008; Herb was the Sales Manager with Service Corporation International (the largest funeral and cemetery provider in North America) in Winnipeg, Vancouver and the Fraser Valley for many years.
He had the insight to provide valuable services that would be better offered from an independent rather than from a single vendor with limited options. It was in the public’s best interest to have a bronze and monument supplier that can offer affordable products made to quality standards.
Herb left the corporation and started Raincoast Memorials. The focus was to provide exceptional products and services at factory pricing without sacrificing quality.
Since its inception, Raincoast Memorials have helped thousands of families with their memorial and funeral service merchandises.
In 2012 Raincoast Memorials also started supplying caskets to the public at wholesale prices. Our customers appreciated the cost savings and quality products. In 2017 Raincoast Funeral and Cremation Services was established by Herb McDowall and Michelle Vizena, a fully licensed funeral director.
